Foam Clay Bouquet Workshop in Pune

A colourful bouquet of hand-sculpted foam clay flowers made at a Pink Pune workshop in Pune

Somewhere between sculpture and flower-arranging lives this workshop: petals pinched from cloud-soft foam clay, built into blooms, gathered into a bouquet that will still look like this in five years.

Unlike the chenille bouquet (wire craft) this one is pure sculpting — you shape every petal with your fingers. It's tactile, colour-drenched, and the room always goes quiet in the best way about twenty minutes in.

What is foam clay bouquet?

Foam clay is a featherweight air-dry clay with a marshmallow texture that's addictive to work with. You'll learn petal-forming, layering and assembly techniques to build roses, poppies and wildflower shapes.

Each flower is built on a stem, so the finished set arranges like real blooms. Your bouquet air-dries at home into a light, durable keepsake.

  • It pairs beautifully as a couples' session — one bouquet each, swapped at the end.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from the chenille flower bouquet?

Chenille flowers are twisted from velvety wire stems; foam clay flowers are sculpted petal by petal from soft clay. Chenille is quicker and bolder; foam clay is more sculptural and painterly. Many guests do both.

Does the bouquet dry hard?

Foam clay air-dries over 24–72 hours into a lightweight, slightly flexible finish that holds its shape for years — no baking, no sealing needed.

Can I make specific flowers, like my partner's favourite?

Tell us at the start — roses, poppies, daisies and tulips are all in the standard set, and facilitators love a custom challenge.

Is foam clay suitable for kids?

Very — it's soft, clean and non-fussy. Kids 6+ do well with simpler flower shapes, and we run family sessions on request in Pune.
